I have been told some of my compositions are reminiscent of Steve Reich. Recently I acquired a copy of 18.  Bit by bit is a short etude I wrote after hearing that work.  While I compose with very little in the way of process it was fun to react to his sense of texture, rhythm, tonality and process. Bit by bit is applause for his work.
